Aimed at cheaper, budget phone, the new Snapdragon 450 promises to be a great little performer!
The new Snapdragon promises a major improvement when it comes to the battery life, since it is built on the new 14nm process, like it’s older brothers, the Snapdragon 625 and the 630. They say it will add up to 4h of battery life on equivalent tasks over the Snapdragon 435, which is built on 28nm.
Inside you can find up to 8 cores clocked at a reasonable 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 506 graphics, a minor bump over the older Adreno 505.
It is quite obvious that performance was put on second place, with a major emphasis on battery life. And it’s also nice that they added support for USB 3, which will allow much faster data transfer. And you also get Quick Charge 3.0. You can find the chip in devices in Q4 of this year.
