iPhone 7 – What do we know so far?

Recently, I mentioned the iPhone 7 as one of the most anticipated phones of 2016. Here’s what we know about it so far.

iPhone 7 – release date

The question we are all curious about – when will the iPhone 7 come out? Well, it seem that the whole Internet has settled on September this year. And that does make sense.

iPhone 7 – internals and OS

Ah, the specs… In my previous article, I mentioned it might have 2 physical CPUs – a powerful A10 CPU, and a less powerful M10. Other leaks indicate a hexa-core A10, and pretty much everyone settled with 2 GB of RAM, which is more than enough for iOS. Speaking of which, the iPhone 7 may ship with iOS 10. But it is very possible that Apple will throw in another gig of RAM. As far as internal storage is considered, we might see a 256 GB model

iPhone 7 – camera and battery

As far as the camera is considered, Apple will most likely stick to their 12 megapixel shooter. Why? The saying goes ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. The camera on the iPhone 6s is truly awesome, and there’s no reason to upgrade it.The only upgrade may be the front-facing camera But this one is decent, too, at 5 megapixels. Battery? Now, that’s one place the iPhone 7 might disappoint. The phone will be slimmer than ever, and trying to squeeze a big battery into a ridiculously thin phone isn’t quite possible. But that doesn’t mean you’ll end up with bad battery life, as the newer iPhones are very power efficient. But, the plus version of the iPhone 7 may have a huge 3,100mAh battery, since the phone itself is quite huge.

iPhone 7 – design, display and…no headphone jack?

Rumors have it the iPhone 7 will re ridiculously thin – anywhere from 6 to 6.5mm this. How? Simple, remove the 3.5mm headphone jack… yes, that’s right. Apple may remove the headphone jack that literally the entire world uses. Why? Weight reduction, bro! Just joking. It’s apparently to make the phone thinner buy a millimeter or so. That means that Apple will most likely include thunderbolt port headphones. That, or Bluetooth headphones. Apple may also bump the resolution of their screens to to QHD.
