Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL – What should you know

After a very long time, Microsoft has finally released a Windows Phone flagship –  the new Lumia 950, and the new Lumia 950 XL.

First things first – the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL are both monsters of a phone. Both of these phones pack some serious power.

The 950 has a “little” less power that the 950 XL. The 950 has a hexa-core CPU, where the 950 XL packs eight cores. And, as the name says, the 950 has a smaller screen than the 950 XL ( 5.2 inches vs. 5.7 inches), but both are quadHD. Both of these phones also share the same camera – 20 MPX, with a 3-color flash, and ZEISS optics (supports 4K shooting, of course, and 120 fps at 720p). Also, the 950 XL has a slightly bigger battery.

But wait, there’s more!

Both phones have USB Type-C, and fast charging… which is very, very nice. And there’s even more! Connect your phone to a Microsoft Display Dock, connect the Dock to a monitor and BAM! Your phone is now a PC… well, not quite. Some apps, like Office or Outlook use this, and scale up, so you can do a lot with your phone. Of course, you use a mouse and a keyboard.

But, there is only one problem, that haunts Windows Phone in general –  app support. But Microsoft has promised that this will change in the future.
